The Arizona Department of Health Services has partnered with participating restaurants to assure
that their healthy menu items meet the standards of the Arizona Smart Choice Program. Any
restaurant can participate in the program as long as at least one menu item meets the program’s
nutritional requirements.
Recipes for restaurant menu items are sent in for nutritional analysis to determine if they meet the program’s nutritional requirements. Once a menu item is approved, the restaurant is given Arizona Smart Choice Program materials to display at their location.
